GIIAS Semarang 2024 Closed With Achievements Of More Than 30 Thousand Visitors

JAKARTA - The 2024 Semarang Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) has officially ended with impressive achievements.

The automotive event, which took place last October 23-27, recorded a total of 30,070 visitors. The exhibition, which is located at Muladi Dome Undip, Semarang, also closed the GIIAS The Series series for the 2024 edition which took place in four major cities in the country.

Chairman of Gaikindo, Yohannes Nangoi said that the event succeeded in attracting the interest of the people of Central Java as well as signaling that the national automotive market would grow again.

"Move to the new GIIAS Semarang venue is bigger and more complete so that the people of Central Java are enthusiastic about coming to see the latest models and technologies from the Indonesian motor vehicle industry, as well as getting direct education and experience from brand-holding agents," said Nangoi in his statement, Saturday, November 2.

For five days, this event features the latest automotive innovations consisting of 19 well-known motorized vehicle brands, such as 14 four-wheeled brands such as BAIC, BYD, Chery, Citroen, Daihatsu, GAC Aion, Honda, KIA, Mazda, MG, Mitsubishi Motors, Suzuki, Toyota, Wuling, and in the commercial vehicle category, Toyota Commercial participated.

The two-wheel category is filled with four leading brands, namely Alva, Exotic, Pacific, and Polytron as well as more than 25 supporting industry brands, ranging from automotive components to supporting technology, also enlivening this exhibition, enriching the choice of vehicles that visitors can enjoy.

Overall, GIIAS The Series 2024 managed to produce a total of 40 thousand units of motorized vehicles sold or with a transaction value of more than IDR 20 trillion.

"We are very grateful that in the midst of the challenges faced by the motor vehicle industry this year, the entire GIIAS series can take place successfully, record good results and contribute to the achievements of the country's industry," explained the Head of the Gaikindo Exhibition Organizer Rizwan Alamsjah.
