Surakarta City Government Asks For Additional Budget To Vice President Gibran For Solo Manahan's Indoor Sports Building

JAKARTA - The Surakarta City Government, Central Java, has proposed an additional budget to Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka for the construction of the Manahan Solo Indoor GOR.

"For the stands and others, I ask the vice president to have additional or shift from other UAE funds," said Head of the Surakarta City Youth and Sports Service (Kadispora) Rini Kusumandari after receiving a working visit from Gibran Rakabuming Raka at GOR Indoor Manahan Solo, Central Java, quoted from Antara, Saturday 2 November.

He said that actually the budgeting had been around Rp47.3 billion, originating from government grants from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). However, the budget is still lacking so there needs to be additional.

"Our budgeting still has shortcomings, for additional air conditioning, two-point air conditioning installations and also roads outside the landscape," he said.

He said the construction of the project was targeted for completion in December.

"The target for completion in December can be used but the environment cannot be used yet," he said.

The construction of the Manahan Indoor GOR began in 2018. However, in 2022 the project was stopped.

In the first phase, the budget used for development is IDR 61.5 billion. Meanwhile, in 2023 development will not be continued.

Furthermore, this year the rebuilding will be continued using funds from the UAE.

Meanwhile, during his review of the Manahan Indoor Sports Hall, Gibran had a long discussion with Rini and Surakarta City Secretary Budi Murtono. During the review he was accompanied by Acting Governor of Central Java Nana Sudjana and Pengageng Pura Mangkunegaran Surakarta KGPAA Mangkunegara X.
