Sales Of Nissan E-Power Cars Successfully Reach 1.5 Million Units Around The World

JAKARTA - Nissan announced its impressive achievement in the hybrid segment with e-Power technology. Sales of cars with environmentally friendly systems managed to pass 1.5 million units at the end of October recently.

Launching from the manufacturer's official website, Saturday, November 2, the Japanese market became the largest contributor by successfully selling 1.170 million units of cars with this system. Behind it, there is the European market with 140,000 units.

Then, the Chinese market is also another largest contributor with a total of 60,000 units. This is relatively impressive considering the competition from local brand cars is getting hotter.

Meanwhile, the brand intends to expand its e-Power technology market in several countries including the United States (US) and Canada. It is planned that they will launch their first hybrid car in North America in 2026.

Last year, cars with an e-Power system managed to contribute 42.6 percent to Nissan's overall sales for the Sakura country market.

Earlier this year, Nissan also announced the strategic planning of The Arc which is part of its long-term vision, Ambition 2030 by presenting more environmentally friendly vehicles.

The Arc consists of the launch of 30 new models for the global market in 2026, with 16 of them electric-driven vehicles (EVs).

In addition to introducing electrified vehicles, Nissan will also update 60 percent of its global internal combustion engine (ICE) lineup, with the aim of increasing annual sales to 1 million units.

Furthermore, the manufacturer based in Yokohama, Japan, plans to reduce the production cost of next-generation electric vehicles by 30 percent, paving the way for balance of costs between EVs and ICE vehicles by 2030.

Nissan also detailed several models to be launched for several markets, such as eight New Energy Vehicle (NEV) models in China, seven models in the US and Canada, five models in Japan and the Middle East, as well as three models in India and Africa, and two models in Oceania.
