Indonesian Representative, IIF Explores Investment Cooperation Opportunities With Canada

JAKARTA - PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF) together with PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur/SMI (Persero) and PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (PII), all of which are Special Mission Vehicles (SMV) of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia and the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) conducted a joint working visit to Canada during The Canadian Institutional Investors Roundtable on the Indo-Pacific (CIIRIP) which was held on October 28, 2024.

The purpose of the working visit is to explore various potential investment cooperation in Indonesia in various sectors, especially in the development of strategic sustainable infrastructure. Through economic growth an average of 5 percent over the last 10 years, Gross Domestic (GDP) income of IDR 5,536.5 trillion in the second quarter of 2024 to demographic bonuses, making Indonesia a promising investment destination.

"This participation is a valuable opportunity for IIF to promote investment potential in Indonesia in the international arena. CIRRIP itself is organized by Canada's Indo-Pacific Trade Representative (CIPTR) to allow Canadian institutional investor communities to gather and engage in key issues related to investment in the Indo-Pacific region including Indonesia. With the total investment asset value of more than $1 trillion (CAD), CIRIP opens up huge investment opportunities in the Indo-Pacific region, especially Indonesia.

IIF believes that the cooperation between Indonesia and Canada will further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and encourage sustainable economic growth, especially from the Infrastructure sector.
