KPK Decides To Use Kaesang's Private Jet Not Gratification
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has decided that the use of the private jet used by Kaesang Pangarep to the United States is not a form of gratification. The Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the KPK is said to have submitted an official memorandum to the leadership.
"The Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring said this was not gratification," said KPK Deputy Chair Nurul Ghufron to reporters at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, November 1.
Ghufron said Kaesang was not a state administrator. Thus, the element of gratification is not fulfilled.
This is also in accordance with Articles 12B and 12C of Law Number 31 of 1999 in conjunction with Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Corruption.
"The person concerned is not a state administrator, he is separated from his parents," he said.
As previously reported, the General Chairperson of PSI who is also the son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Kaesang Pangarep, had conveyed to the KPK about the use of the private jet facilities he used when pledir to the United States with his wife, Erina Gudono on Tuesday, September 17. He claims that he took a plane belonging to his friend.
"I conveyed information about my trip to the US who was riding or accompanying a friend of mine," Kaesang told reporters at the ACLC KPK building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta.
Complementing Kaesang, God willing, Widjojo as his spokesman said there was a document filled by President Jokowi's son. Meanwhile, Kaesang came to the office. "It's just a matter of waiting for directions and instructions from the KPK," said Maria Widjojo at the same location.
