Pesinetron Kamila Karmaya Grateful To Appeal Rp8M Fraud Cases Granted By Judges

JAKARTA - The fraud case involving the old soap opera actor Kamila Karmaya brings happy news in which the appeal against the case that cost him up to Rp. 8 billion was granted by the panel of judges at the South Jakarta High Court.

"In the main case of granting the plaintiff's claim to partially declare that the defendants had previously committed acts against the law, declaring the valid agreement dated April 16, 2021 between the defendant's original comparison with the former defendant one," explained Iskandar Halim, Kamila Karmaya's attorney in the Cipete area, South Jakarta, Thursday, October 31.

Iskandar also explained that the two defendants in this case, namely Marlon and Elisabeth Louise Octia, were found guilty in this case.

"Then sentenced the defendants, the defendants, namely the defendant one named Marlon, the second defendant was named Galita, the other defendant was PT. Citra represented by his director, Marlon. And then the second defendant was Galita, which is also the commissioner at the company," continued Iskandar Halim.

The defendants were asked to pay the losses suffered by the soap opera actor Jinny oh Jinny, a total of approximately Rp. 7 billion, of which each year there will be 6% of these cases registered with the South Jakarta District Court.

"Then they punished the defendants in terms of shared responsibility to make payments in the amount, the first was Rp. 710 million to rupiah currency. The second was 500,030 dollars then the third was 70,000 US dollars. So the same as the previous 500,000 Singapore dollars is equal to Rp5,637,500,000. The US$70,000 is the same as Rp1,670,360,000," said Iskandar.

Seeing this, Kamila Karmaya admitted that she was very happy and hoped that the defendants could be responsible for paying the loss.

"Alhamdulillah, I am very happy. We pray that everything will run smoothly and everything will be finished well. I hope they are responsible and pay immediately," he said.
