Police Examine Komdigi Employees Related To Online Gambling Syndicate
The National Police is examining an employee of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) who is suspected of being involved in an online gambling syndicate.
Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, said the investigation was a follow-up to the direction of the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, in eradicating online gambling.
"Regarding one of the employees at the Komdigi ministry, an investigation is still being carried out to deepen the investigation," said Trunoyudo, Thursday, October 31.
Regarding the results of the examination, Trunoyudo could not convey it, including the identity of the Komdigi employee.
However, based on information circulating, the employee is one of the officials in Komdigi.
"Police investigators are still working until now, therefore we are waiting for the results from the National Police investigators," he said.

On the other hand, it is emphasized that the National Police will cooperate with other stakeholders in uncovering and eradicating online gambling practices.
"The National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, is committed to eradicating online gambling in Indonesia. The National Police will continue to conduct a thorough search," said Trunoyudo.
