The National Nutrition Agency Will Conduct Free Nutrition Food Trials At 100 Points In Indonesia

JAKARTA - The head of the National Nutrition Agency, Dadan Hindayana, stated that his party will soon conduct a free nutritious trial at 100 points throughout Indonesia.

This was conveyed by Dadan in a meeting with Commission IX of the DPR, Thursday, October 31.

"We have received a commitment from the Director General of Budget to pilot projects at 100 points throughout Indonesia starting from Sabang-Merauke," said Dadan.

Dadan said the most points for the free nutritious food test project were on the island of Java.

"The majority remains on the island of Java because the majority schools are the island of Java," he said.

Dadan said that school children from TK-SMA will get free meals at school. Meanwhile, toddlers and pregnant women receive free food which is delivered directly by officers to their respective homes, every day at 11:30 p.m. local time.

"Pregnant women breastfeeding, we send food according to their characteristics, whether there is a problem or not, later pregnant women breastfeeding must continue to coordinate with the village and also the Puskesmas. We send Balinese children food every day, every hour and a half, but still monitored by PKK mothers in Posyandu," he explained.

Dadan said that the list of free food recipients already exists in every school, both public and private. Meanwhile, children under five until pregnant women do not need to register but will be recorded by the Nutrition Agency.

"Pregnant women breastfeeding toddlers don't need to register but we go to the location, so we will be proactive in finding and intervening in nutritious food every day," he concluded.
