Palace: Formation Of The National Solidarity Movement On Prabowo's Order
JAKARTA - Head of the Presidential Communication Office Hasan Nasbi confirmed the formation of the National Solidarity Movement (GSN) on the orders of President Prabowo Subianto.
"GSN on Mr. Prabowo's orders," Hasan said at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 30.
However, when asked about Prabowo's readiness to become Chairman of the GSN Board of Trustees, Hasan was reluctant to answer. He asked Rosan Roeslani as the chairman of GSN.
"What is Mr. Prabowo's position, ask Bang Rosan, because the chairman is Bang Rosan," said Hasan.
Meanwhile, Rosan revealed that the GSN declaration will be made on Saturday (2/10).
"Yes, Saturday, God willing," said the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming.
However, he also did not give an answer when asked about Prabowo's position in the association.
The launch of GSN became a series of strategic events for Prabowo after the briefing of the Red and White Cabinet in Magelang, Central Java, to build the spirit of national struggle, unity, and solidarity.
GSN chaired by Rosan Roeslani will replace the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN). The formation of GSN was proposed by Prabowo in March.
"TKN does have to end because the campaign has been completed. However, this network, this community, I beg you not to disband. I propose that this association be called the National Solidarity Movement," said Prabowo at the time.
Prabowo said that he and his supporters are one community that needs to stay united to achieve the ideals of the Golden Indonesia.
"There remains one community, one movement consisting of all ethnic groups, all religions, all races, all regions, and all united groups towards Golden Indonesia," he said.
