Sekte Group Sesat Sesat Serang Village In Uganda, 8 People Died

JAKARTA - Suspected members of a deviant sect attacked a village in Uganda, killing eight people, including a three-year-old child and a member of the attacking family.

The attack took place on Tuesday night in Mizizi A, a hamlet in Kagadi district west of Uganda, about 250 km from the capital Kampala. Eight others were injured, police said.

"Initial information shows that members of a new sect whose names are not yet known to come from people, most of whom are members of their families, and cut them off," the Ugandan People's Defense Forces said.

Security forces including the military and police are on the ground hunting down the culprit. The investigation is ongoing to get more details about the deviant sect.

Four of those who died were under the age of 13, including a three-year-old child.

Police said two suspected attackers were killed in the neck of security forces as they responded to the attack.
