King Charles And Queen Camilla Stop In India, Enjoy Yoga Sessions

JAKARTA - King Charles and his wife Queen Camilla briefly stopped in India after their trip to Australia and Samoa.

Buckingham Palace said the two were staying at a holistic health center they had visited before.

Charles, 75, and Camilla made a private visit on their way back from his recent visit to Australia, where he became head of state.

Charles also made a short trip to Samoa for the Commonwealth Government Head Meeting, his first major overseas trip since being diagnosed with cancer.

Indian media reported the royal couple arrived in Bengaluru on October 27 and has since been at the Soukya International Holistic Health Center, where they performed yoga and meditation sessions.

His Majesty briefly stopped in India to help end the long journey back from Samoa, a spokesman for Buckingham Palace said.

"They returned to England this morning," the Palace continued.

Charles, who has long advocated alternative medicine and therapy, has made many visits to India and the Soukya center before.

Smber in the kingdom said the stopover had nothing to do with the health problems he was experiencing, but to allow him to rest as part of his long-distance travel planning on recent tours at locations he knew.
