PORTRET Presents Live Session Album Titled PORTRET Live At Aquarius Studio

JAKARTA - Early last October, PORTRET presented Don't Forget to Go home as their newest single. Now Melly Goeslaw et al have finally released an album titled POTRET Live at Aquarius Studio under the label Aquarius Musikindo.

"Live at Aquarius Studio" itself is a program that features Indonesian musicians with unique arrangements and is different from the original version live.

This time it's PORTRET's turn to present nine of their hits such as Salah, Silence, Maybe, Mak Comblang, Terbujuk, I Just Wanna Say I L U, Like Heaven, Not Sure, and Mother. Don't forget the newest song, Don't Forget to go home, it's also performed.

PORTRAIT, which consists of Melly Goeslaw, Anto Hoed, Aksan suman, Nikita Dompas, and Mery Kasiman, looks very much to enjoy the ambiance created when the ten songs are played, recorded live and organically in the studio.

The band, which has accompanied Indonesia's musical journey for 30 years, said that it provides a new touch for the concept of musical arrangements played for Live at Aquarius Studio.

The overall arrangement composition is woodwind, specifically the sound quartet, but the instrumentation we use is unusual. We use violin, aircraft, flute, and saxophone, but there is no bassoon and oboe," said POTRET personnel in an official statement, October 25.

The opportunity to appear at Live at Aquarius Studio gives them the freedom to create arrangements so that they produce creative music and are different from the previous PORTRET music.

It was noted that throughout their career, PORTRET has made five studio albums (PORTRET, PORTRET II, CAFé, positive + POSITIVE, I Just Wanna Say I L U); two compilation albums (From Dawn to Beyond: The Best of POTRET, The Very Best of POTRET #1996-2008 (Remastered 2023), one EP (Nana Nana) and four singles (Posesif, Friendszone No More, Argantara (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and Don't Forget to Go Home (Live at Aquarius Studio) for Indonesian music enthusiasts.

PORTRET hopes that the PORTRET Live at Aquarius Studio album can be well received by listeners, and can provide a different'strategy' from the music they usually serve.
