The Collection Of Money For Uncle Birin And The Head Of The South Kalimantan PUPR Office Was Investigated By The KPK
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the collection of money which ends up being handed over to the Governor of South Kalimantan (Kalsel) Sahbirin Noor or Uncle Birin and the Head of the PUPR Office of South Kalimantan Province Ahmad Solhan.
KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika said 11 witnesses were summoned to investigate the collection of money on Tuesday, October 29. They underwent an examination at the BPKP office of South Kalimantan Province.
"This witness was all present and investigated regarding the collection of money for the suspected governor and suspect, the Head of the South Kalimantan PUPR Service," Tessa told reporters, Wednesday, October 30.
Tessa said the 11 witnesses examined by investigators with the initials MSA, ASM, HF, MM, MN, MBN, AF, DH, NH, HB, and MM. Meanwhile, from the information obtained, they are Experts from the Governor of South Kalimantan M. Syachrizal Aufa; Azan Syaiful Muaz who is the Head of Highways at the PUPR Office of South Kalimantan Province; and Handa Ferani as the Head of the Road Section of the PUPR Office of South Kalimantan Province.
Then investigators were also worked on by Muhammad Mustajab as Head of Construction Development; Muhammad Nursjamsi as Head of Spatial Planning and Land of the South Kalimantan PUPR Service; Head of the South Kalimantan Province Drinking Water Management Center Muhammad Berty Nakir; and Secretary of the South Kalimantan Provincial PUPR Service Andri Fadli.
Then investigators also examined the Head of the Bridge Section (Kasi) of the PUPR Office of South Kalimantan Province, Noor Hidayat; South Kalimantan Provincial BPD staff, Martapura Hasyibi Rafi'i Branch; and Yuliana Erliani driver who is the Head of Human Settlements of South Kalimantan Province, M. Mahdi.
Tessa has not yet detailed the amount of money that has been collected. However, their statement will corroborate the findings of investigators in this case.
Previously reported, the KPK named a total of seven people as suspects in the case of alleged receipt of gifts or promises by state officials or representing them in South Kalimantan Province in 2024-2025. This determination began with a hand arrest operation (OTT) on Sunday, October 6.
South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor or Uncle Birin has become a suspect in receiving bribes along with four other people. He was appointed together with the Head of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Ahmad Solhan (SOL), the Head of Cipta Karya as well as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government Yulianti Erlynah (YUL), the Management of the Tahfidz Darussalam House as well as the collector of money or fee Ahmad (AMD) and Plt. Head of the Household of the Governor of South Kalimantan Agustya Febry Andrean (FEB).
Meanwhile, as the givers were Sugeng Wahyudi (YUD) and Andi Susanto (AND) as private parties. Thus, there are a total of seven suspects.
This gift was made after Sugeng and Andi got three projects in South Kalimantan. The details:
1. Construction of Football Fields in the Integrated Sports Area of South Kalimantan Province with selected provider PT WKM (Wismani Kharya Mandiri) with a work value of IDR 23 billion;
2. Integrated Samsat Development with selected provider PT HIU (Haryadi Indo Utama) with a work value of IDR 22 billion;
BACA JUGA:
3. Development of Swimming Pools in the Integrated Sports Area of South Kalimantan Province with the selected provider CV BBB (Bunt Banua Bersama) with a work value of IDR 9 billion.
A total of seven suspects, only Uncle Birin has not been arrested. However, the KPK has asked the Directorate General of Immigration to prevent it from leaving the country for six months.
