BPK Auditor Targeted By KPK Regarding Allegations Of Giving WTP Opinions To The Ministry Of Agriculture

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined the Auditor Utama AKN IV of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Syamsudin on Tuesday, October 29. He was questioned about giving reasonable opinions without knowledge (WTP) to the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan).

"Witness S was present and investigated regarding the facts of the trial regarding the opinion of the WTP of the Ministry of Agriculture," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardika to reporters, Wednesday, October 30.

Tessa said the examination of S was carried out at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. This witness was worked on by investigators in the money laundering case (TPPU) that ensnared former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

Meanwhile, Tessa some time ago said that the alleged BPK auditor asked the Ministry of Agriculture for money to provide an unqualified opinion (WTP). This incident emerged and became the spotlight after it was revealed at the Syahrul trial.

As previously reported, the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) is said to have asked Rp12 billion to issue an Unqualified Predicate (WTP) for the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan). However, the ministry only agreed to Rp5 billion.

This was revealed based on the statement of the Secretary of the Directorate General of Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan), Hermanto, who was a witness in the trial of the alleged extortion and acceptance of gratuities with the defendants Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Kasdi Subagyono, and Muhammad Hatta.

"No, we don't fulfill it. I heard it wasn't fulfilled. I heard maybe it wasn't wrong about Rp. 5 billion or what. What I heard," said Hermanto, who was present as a witness at the trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Wednesday, May 8.

'Witness heard from whom?" asked the prosecutor who Hermanto then answered "Pak Hatta."
