Using Ijazah Paslu, Paslon Trisal-Akhmad Threatened With Disqualification Of Palopo Pilwalkot

PALOPO - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Palopo City, South Sulawesi, has issued a recommendation letter to the General Election Commission (KPU) of Palopo City so that the candidate pair for mayor and deputy mayor of Palopo number 4, namely Trisal Tahir and Akhmad Syarifuddin Daud, are declared ineligible (TMS) or disqualified at the 2024 Pilwalkot Palopo event.

The head of the Palopo City Bawaslu, Khareana, said that his party had officially issued a recommendation letter to the KPU, arguing that the candidate pair did not meet the administrative requirements in the 2024 Pilkada. This is because the diploma used to register is proven invalid.

"We have submitted a recommendation letter to the Palopo City KPU. In essence, Bawaslu asked the KPU to change the determination of the candidate, because it did not meet the administrative requirements," Khareana said in her statement, Wednesday, October 30.

"The certificate of Trisal Tahir's package C is not authentic. Based on the findings of the Palopo City Bawaslu with related parties, the candidate pair did not meet the administrative requirements. The certificate used was not correct. We have collected a lot of evidence that supports our recommendations to the Palopo City KPU," said Khareana.

The recommendation letter was submitted directly to the Palopo KPU a few days ago. With the declaration that the Tahir Trisal and Akhmad Syarifuddin Daud did not meet the requirements (TMS), the Palopo KPU had seven days to follow up on the recommendation.

"Based on the KPU regulations, there is a period of seven days to follow up on recommendations from Bawaslu," he concluded.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of the Palopo City KPU, Abbas Djohan, has yet to provide a response regarding the recommendation letter from Bawaslu regarding the candidate pair for Trisal Tahir and Akhmad Syarifuddin Daud who were declared ineligible.

Previously, the Palopo City KPU decided that Trisal and Akhmad did not meet the requirements (TMS) as candidates for Mayor and Deputy Mayor based on the results of administrative verification. However, the candidate pair for the Gerindra, Democrat and PKB parties filed a dispute or mediation in Bawaslu.

From the results of mediation, the Palopo KPU and Trisal Tahir agreed on five points of agreement, one of which was to sign a validity letter for the package C diploma issued by the North Jakarta Uswatun Hasanah Foundation PKBM.

Finally, on September 22, 2024, the Palopo KPU appointed Trisal and Akhmad along with three other pairs of candidates as Paslon Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Palopo for the 2024 Pilkada.

However, Trisal and three commissioners of the Palopo KPU were reported to the Gakkumdu Center. Based on the results of the investigation, the four were declared suspects. Unfortunately, the case files Trisal and the three commissioners of the Palopo KPU, namely Muhatzir, Abbas Djohan, and Irwandi Djamadin, were declared expired due to the deadline for handling election crimes.
