Rokan Hulu Riau Police Arrest 10 Perpetrators Of Theft Of Cattle Owned By Residents

ROKAN HULU - Rokan Hulu Resort Police, Riau Province, arrested 10 suspects suspected of being involved in cattle theft in several locations in Karya Mulya Village, Rambah Samo District.

The Head of the Rokan Hulu Police, AKBP Budi Setiyono, explained that the first case occurred last Thursday. At that time, four cows belonging to Mustaudin were stolen from his oil palm plantation. The incident was discovered when an eye witness suspected a pickup truck carrying a cow.

"In this case, the police arrested RMT and SYD in Rambah Hilir District. After investigating, the police again arrested another suspect with the initials BMN who acted as a collector," he said in Rokan Hulu, Tuesday, October 29.

A similar case was repeated in Rbah Muda Village, Saturday, October 26. Two perpetrators with the initials NHD and SYT stole a female cow with a loss of Rp. 13 million with evidence in the form of a pickup truck and cell phone were also secured.

The third case was reported in the garden of PT. GS Pertamina Rangau, Bonai Village, Thursday (17/10). When one cow disappeared and from the investigation, the police managed to arrest suspects JSS, ABN and AWN.

"Additional evidence such as animal ownership certificates, rope, machetes, and motorbikes were found at the location of the arrest," continued AKBP Budi.

Seeing the number of cases, AKBP Budi appealed to the public to be more alert to the safety of their livestock and to maintain security stability ahead of the upcoming democratic party.

"Disclosure of this case is a form of our commitment to maintain security and public order, especially ahead of the Pilkada. The Rohul Police will oversee all stages of the 2024 Pilkada so that the situation remains safe and conducive," he said.
