Harvey Moeis Receives Incentives Of Up To IDR 100 Million Per Month From PT RBT, But Gives Up Just Knowing When Examined

JAKARTA - Defendant Harvey Moeis received incentives of around Rp. 50 million to Rp. 100 million per month from the President Director of PT Refined Bangka Tin (RBT) Suparta because it had become an extension of PT RBT.

Harvey, while testifying in a case of alleged tin corruption, revealed that incentives were received through transfers to his account with uncertain value every month.

"I also only found out when I checked my bank statement when it was examined," said Harvey during a witness examination hearing at the Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor), reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 28.

However, he admitted that there was no written agreement regarding payments or company attorneys to Harvey for his assignment so far.

The reason is, he claims to only help Suparta become an extension of PT RBT because he has considered Suparta like his own uncle.

"This cooperation is also short and if my meeting is only 5-6 times, after the smelter cooperation is completed with PT Timah Tbk, I absolutely do not have to take care of PT RBT anymore," he said.

Harvey testified in the alleged corruption case in the management of tin commodity trading in the mining permit (IUP) area of PT Timah in 2015-2022.

Apart from himself, the case also dragged the Beneficiary Owner of PT Stanindo Inti Perkasa (SIP) Suwito Gunawan alias Awi, Director of PT Sarijuna Binasentosa (SBS) Robert Indarto, and General Manager of OperationalPT Tinindo Inter Nusa (TIN) for the 2017-20 period Rosalina as a defendant.

Suwito was charged with receiving a flow of funds amounting to Rp2.2 trillion in this case, while Robert received Rp1.9 trillion. Of the money received, both were suspected of committing money laundering (TPPU).

As a result of the actions of the defendants in the case of alleged tin corruption, state finances were recorded to have suffered a loss of Rp. 300 trillion. The loss included Rp. 2.28 trillion in the form of losses for the cooperation activities of mining equipment (processing) logging with private smelters, Rp. 26.65 trillion in the form of losses due to tin seed payments to mining partners of PT Timah, and Rp. 271.07 trillion in the form of environmental losses.
