Bripda CH Reported Case Of Death Of Prisoner Threatened With Heavy Sanctions
PALU - Head of Propam Division of the Central Sulawesi Police, Kombes Roy Satya Putra, stated that Bripda CH as reported in the case of Bayu Adityawan's death was threatened with serious violations.
"We categorize the suspect as a serious violation, because it resulted in the death of a prisoner," he said during a hearing (RDP) with Commission III of the DPR as reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 28.
He explained that the reported Bripda CH was subject to Article 13 Paragraph 1 of PP Number 1 of 2003 concerning the dismissal of members of the National Police, junto Police Regulation No. 7 of 2022 concerning the Police Code of Ethics, namely Article 5 paragraph 1 letter c and Article 8 letter c, Article 10 paragraph 1 letter d and Article 13 letter M.
"Against the alleged violators of Bripda CH, a code of ethics trial will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2024," he said.
Previously, Commission III of the DPR held the first RDP on September 27, 2024.
After the RDP, the Central Sulawesi Police Chief ordered the takeover of the case previously handled by the Palu Police. On September 28, 2024, the Central Sulawesi Police Propam began to examine witnesses. A total of six witnesses were examined, including the father of the victim Bayu Adityawan.
Furthermore, on October 24, 2024, the Central Sulawesi Police Propam issued the National Police's professional code of ethics (KKEP) commission and the National Police KKEP trial device.
