100,000 Palestinians Trapped In Israeli Attacks On Northern Gaza

JAKARTA - Israeli tanks returned to attack two cities north of Gaza and refugee camps. About 100,000 civilians have been trapped, Palestinian emergency services said.

The Israeli military said its troops arrested about 100 Hamas militant suspects in a raid at Kamal Adwan hospital in the Jabaliya camp.

Hamas and medics denied the presence of militants at the hospital.

Gaza's Ministry of Health said 19 people died as a result of Israeli airstrikes and bombings on Monday, October 28, 13 of which occurred in the northern part of the devastated coastal area.

The Palestinian Civil Emergency Service said about 100,000 people were stranded in Jabaliya, Beit Lahiya, and Beit Hanoun without medical or food supplies.

Emergency services said its operations were halted due to a three-week Israeli attack in the north, an area where the military said it had destroyed Hamas combat forces at the start of a year-long war.

As talks led by the US, Egypt and Qatar to mediate a ceasefire resumed on Sunday after several attempts failed, the Egyptian president proposed an initial two-day ceasefire to exchange four Israeli hostages in Hamas for several Palestinian prisoners.

Later when the proposal is agreed, it will be followed by talks within 10 years. day at the permanent ceasefire.

There is no statement from Israel or Hamas, which stick to conditions that cannot be reconciled to end the war.

The war on Gaza has sparked a wider Middle East conflict, raising fears of a global instability, with Israeli forces invading southern Lebanon to stop Hezbollah's attack on northern Israel to support Iran-backed Hamas militant groups in Gaza.

It also sparked rare direct clashes between arch-enemy the Middle East, Israel and Iran. On weekends, Israeli warplanes raided missile sites in Iran in retaliation for Iran's missile strike on October 1 to Israel.
