Kemenparekraf Transition Becomes KemenPar And KemenEkraf Targeted To Be Completed In Early December 2024
JAKARTA - The transition process from the nomenclature of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to two entities, namely the Ministry of Tourism (KemenPar) and the Ministry of Creative Economy (KemenEkraf) is targeted to be completely completed by December 2024.
Plt. Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/President Secretary of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, Dessy Ruhati, in his statement in Jakarta, Friday (25/10/2024), said that currently the transition preparation process continues to be finalized starting from mapping positions, moving employees, to placing them.
"We are all devices here led by Plt. Sesmen as PIC, continue to carry out transitional preparation programs starting from human resources, assets, and also BMN (State Property), DIPA separation or budget, then also other things that support starting from the transfer process and separation from the authority of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to two ministries," said Dessy.
The entire transition process is targeted to be completed by the end of November or at least in early December 2024. This means that the composition of the work organization (SOTK) must be completed, including the names of officials to be submitted for inauguration / inauguration by the President for high-ranking middle officials and inauguration by ministers for echelon II officials.
"Also functional officials who may later be transferred and so on. It has been done and the maximum is all completed on December 1, 2024. Of course we hope everyone is full of enthusiasm and works well," said Dessy.
Even though it is still in a transition period, Dessy ensures that tourism services and the creative economy for the community run as usual. Likewise, the targets that have been set both in the tourism sector and the creative economy are still running well.

The Minister of Tourism, Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, previously determined four priority programs that will be run in the next six months. Namely hearing the aspirations of tourism transformation with related parties; Tourism 5.0 includes marketing digital-based Calendar of Events and AI travel assistance; as well as the formulation of the grand strategy for using the Indonesia Quality Tourism Fund for diversification of domestic attractions and international-scale events.
In addition, designing cooperation with world-class agencies for transfer of knowledge to create world-class tourism-seeded schools.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, in the first 100 days in office started his agenda by conducting coordination meetings with internal officials within the Ministry of Creative Economy/Bekraf to formulate necessary steps and strategies in line with Asta Cita Pemerintahan Prabowo-Gibran.
