Before Being Arrested, Ronald Tannur Had Fled To Singapore

SURABAYA - Ronald Tannur, son of Edward Tannur, a former member of the DPR from East Nusa Tenggara, had time to go abroad before finally returning to Indonesia. Based on the records of the Directorate General of Immigration, Ronald left after receiving a release, but immediately returned before the detication was carried out.

"The person concerned had time to go abroad and return. Maybe because of business matters, but that is still his right before there is deviation," said Head of the Surabaya High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati) Mia Amiati, to the media, Sunday, October 27.

"Therefore, we immediately proposed a deconstruction with the support of the Director General of Immigration, and thank God everything went smoothly. At that time, he had time to go to Singapore," Mia continued.

After the arrest, Ronald Tannur was immediately sent to the Medaeng Detention Center in Sidoarjo. Kajati Surabaya, Mia Amiati, stated that the execution of Ronald was in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Court (MA) and the direction of the Jampidum Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia.

"Today we have carried out the execution based on a copy of the Supreme Court's decision, and thank God the execution went smoothly," Mia said.

Mia Amiati explained that the process of arresting Ronald, who was convicted of abuse, led to death in Dini Sera Afrianti, involving the intensive efforts of the intelligence team of the East Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati Jatim). Strict monitoring has been carried out since the Cassation Decision from the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 1466/K/Pid/2024 was issued.

On Sunday at 14:10 WIB, the East Java Prosecutor's Intelligence team together with a team of executing prosecutors from the Surabaya Kejari went to Ronald Tannur's residence in Pakuwon City Virginia Regency E3, Surabaya. The team arrived at 14.30 WIB and immediately picked up Ronald Tannur accompanied by his household assistant.

Ronald Tannur's arrest process went fast, and at 14:45 WIB he was successfully secured and then taken to the East Java Prosecutor's Office under strict supervision by a joint intelligence team. The convict arrived at the East Java Prosecutor's Office at 15.40 WIB, and was then taken to the Class I Surabaya Correctional Institution (LP) in Medaeng for execution.

Based on the decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 1466/K/Pid/2024, the son of Edward Tannur, who previously served as a member of the DPR from the PKB faction, was sentenced to 5 years in prison for being proven guilty of assault that caused death, as regulated in Article 351 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code.
