Sritex Boss (SRIL) Meets Minister Of Industry Agus, Discuss This

JAKARTA - President Commissioner of PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk (SRIL) or known as Sritex Iwan Setiawan Lukminto held a special meeting with the Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita at the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) office, today.

Based on VOI's monitoring in the field, Iwan left the Minister of Industry Agus' room at around 10.45 WIB. He seemed accompanied by two people.

When met by reporters at the Ministry of Industry's office, Iwan admitted that he discussed a big strategy regarding the sustainability of the textile industry giant in Southeast Asia in the future.

"So, the term makes a big strategy. The point is that. How can everything be more sustainable," said Iwan when met by reporters at the Ministry of Industry's office, Monday, October 28.

Iwan assessed that in planning this big strategy, his party did not want to be responsible.

So that the people involved in Sritex feel the impact firsthand.

"The good news is that (the plan) can be felt by the community directly, basically that," he said.

When asked further about Sritex's big strategy, Iwan was reluctant to provide further information.

"We'll wait for the playing date. This is a big strategy, yes. The planning hasn't come out yet, but it will be as soon as possible," he said.

Meanwhile, continued Iwan, the direction from the Minister of Industry itself is to keep Sritex operating properly.

"If the direction from the Minister (Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita) still has to run, it must be operationally good," he added.
