Not Only Integrity, The New KPK Leaders Are Expected To Be Able To Hear Employee Input

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Tessa Mahardika said that in the future, the head of her institution is expected not only to have good integrity. Anyone who leads is asked to be able to listen to input from employees.

"They (hopefully, ed) do not close the communication route, are able to listen to employees. So that the inputs can be used by them, of course, lead the KPK even better in the future," said Tessa in a broadcast on the KPK's official Instagram account quoted Monday, October 28.

The integrity and track record called Tessa is indeed important. However, employees also want future leaders to become captains in an effort to eradicate corruption.

"So, they also have to have abilities like managerial. As a leader it may not be too technical, it doesn't matter," he said.

"As long as you have managerial abilities, the deputy can help because the KPK is struggling around prevention, education, and prosecution," he continued.

Furthermore, Tessa also hopes that in the future there will be no more leaders of the anti-corruption commission dealing with legal cases or committing ethical violations. Because, this condition actually affects the employees.

For example, he continued, when employees convey anti-corruption education and prevention strategies.

"It is necessary to pay attention to the elected leadership, whatever is done please consider after it can have an impact on the institution or employee," concluded the spokesman with the investigator's background.
