Kulon Progo Bawaslu Ordered Thousands Of Campaign Performance Is Not In Accordance With The Rules

YOGYAKARTA - Violations of election rules occurred in a number of areas, including in Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. The local Bawaslu teloah disciplined 2,400 campaign props for three pairs of candidates for regents and deputy regents participating in the 2024 Pilkada which did not comply with applicable regulations.

"Bawaslu Kulon Progo recommends 3,358 campaign props (APK) to the Kulon Progo KPU to be brought under control. To this day, the APB which is disciplined is around 2,400 APK," said Head of the Division for Enforcement of Violations and Settlement of the Kulon Progo Bawaslu Dispute Djoko Dwiyogo in Kulon Progo, as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, October 27.

He said the APB data on violating the law had already been submitted to the local General Election Commission (KPU). The goal is to submit the data as a recommendation to the candidate pairs (paslon) participating in the 2024 Pilkada so that their teams independently control it.

"APKs that violate the candidate pairs have been given three days to discipline themselves. If the recommendations are ignored, then we will order the APK," he said.

Djoko said the APB control process had violated this week. A total of 26 cross-agency personnel were involved in removing the APB violating 12 of kalinewon in three days.

Controlling the APK is not only from Bawaslu personnel, but also from Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) personnel, Kulon Progo Police, to the Transportation Service.

"The control of the APK is carried out simultaneously for three days," he said.

He emphasized that the APK-APK that was put in order was installed outside the provisions. The installation of the APK is at points categorized as violating public order.

"The majority violate the zoning provisions for the installation of the APK. We hope that the installation of the APK will be carried out in a predetermined zone," he said.
