Acting Governor Teguh Setyabudi Asks Bank DKI To Strengthen Jakarta Provincial Government Performance

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Teguh Setyabudi requested that the culture of the new Bank DKI company can strengthen the performance and role of the banking BUMD as a trusted financial institution.

"Hopefully this event will not only be ceremonial and slogan. However, this will really be a value, characteristics, and an attractive for Bank DKI," said Acting Governor Teguh in an official written statement at the launch of the culture of Bank DKI company "Excellent, Professional, Integrity, Customer-Focused, Collaborative (EPICC) in Jakarta," quoted ANTARA Sunday, October 27.

Therefore, he hopes that this can later be implemented in daily performance to serve the community and can support the performance of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

He emphasized that Bank DKI as one of the DKI Jakarta BUMDs can support the transformation of Jakarta towards a global city.

Bank DKI, he said, is a solution and inclusive financial institution, and is expected to increase real contributions in encouraging economic growth in Jakarta.

Teguh considered that to go to a global city, not only infrastructure was prepared, but also the human aspect, both bureaucratic and community levels.

"For this reason, Bank DKI needs to be adaptive to changes, including digital transformation. I hope Bank DKI is ready," said Teguh.

Meanwhile, Bank DKI President Director Agus H. Widodo explained that the launch of the new company culture aims to align the value of Bank DKI companies.

Agus considered that the five new cultural values, namely superior, professional, integrity, focus on customers and collaboration in "EPICC" as the guidance of Bank DKI personnel to become a leading bank, grow sustainable and always relevant to the growth of the times.

Previously, the company recorded credit and financing for the MSME segment to grow 22.78 percent from IDR 4.41 trillion as of June 2023 to IDR 5.41 trillion as of June 2024.

The credit and financing of the MSME segment, namely microcredit for the period of June 2024, increased 27.99 percent to Rp3.81 trillion from the previous Rp2.98 trillion in June 2023, and retail loans for the period of June 2024 increased 11.94 percent to Rp1.60 trillion from the previous Rp1.43 trillion in June 2023.

The growth in credit and financing of the MSME segment has pushed the cumulative increase in the proportion of MSME loans to 10.11 percent of Bank DKI's total credit and financing for the June 2024 period which was recorded at IDR 53.56 trillion.
