ITDC Records Visit Level At The Mandalika Reaches 70.73 Percent In The Third Quarter Of 2024

JAKARTA - PT Pembangunan Pariwisata Indonesia or ITDC recorded significant growth for the number of tourist visits in managed areas. One of them is The Mandalika, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

ITDC President Director Ari Respati said the occupancy rate in The Mandalika, Central Lombok, NTB during the third quarter of 2024 showed positive results, driven by effective strategies in utilizing event momentum such as the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2024.

Then, the Idemitsu FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC), Mandiri Mandalika Festival of Speed (MFoS), and Cinema on The Beach. This event is a strong differentiator for the region, attracting domestic and international tourist visits.

Ari said the main hotels in the region, such as Pullman, Raja, Montana, Novotel, and JM, recorded varying occupancy rates. In fact, Montana and Novotel managed to achieve an occupancy of more than 90 percent in August 2024, indicating the high interest of tourists.

"Overall, the average occupancy rate of The Mandalika during the third quarter of 2024 reached 70.73 percent, reflecting the attraction and potential growth of the region which continues to grow," he said in an official statement, Friday, October 25.

Meanwhile, continued Ari, The Nusa Dua, Bali, reached 84.60 percent. This figure is driven by a strategy to increase the frequency and quality of organizing international events such as Meetings, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition (MICE) and leisure events which are the main pillars of regional attraction.

"Some big events such as Indonesia Bertutur, Mercedes Benz Jambore, Circle K Run, Thank God It's Festival (TGIF) 2024, DAY6 Concert, Just Dance It Out 2024, as well as other international conferences, are part of a strategy to diversify tourism products to ensure an increase in occupancy in a sustainable manner," he said.

Meanwhile, Ari continued, The Golo Mori, West Manggarai, NTT even though they do not yet have hotel accommodation facilities, managed to record a significant number of visits during the third quarter of 2024.

The Golo Mori recorded a total of 5,641 tourist visits, showing an increasing interest in tourists from the promotion and development efforts made to introduce The Golo Mori as a sustainable and competitive leading tourist destination," he explained.

Ari said the three ITDC-run areas recorded positive growth, respectively. He said the growth of tourist visits in each region that we manage is the result of the implementation of ITDC's long-term strategy in creating integrated and high competitive tourism areas.

"We are committed to continuing to strengthen the existing tourism ecosystem by improving infrastructure, service quality, and diversifying tourism products, so that our region can continue to compete in the global market," he explained.

Furthermore, Ari said that his party is optimistic about the tight scheduled event agenda and the momentum of the year-end holiday which is getting closer, the level of tourist visits will continue to increase significantly.

"ITDC is committed to ensuring the readiness of the entire region by prioritizing innovation and improving service quality. We will implement strategic steps that not only focus on increasing visits, but also create a memorable and sustainable tourism experience," Ari concluded.
