Marquez Breaks Lap Record At Thailand's 2024 MotoGP Practice

JAKARTA Marc Marquez managed to break the record for a new all-time lap at the Buriram Circuit, Thailand, after becoming the fastest in the practice session on Friday, October 25, 2024, evening WIB.

In that session, the racer who defended Gresini Racing and who won the MotoGP six times finished with a time of 1 minute 29.165 seconds to beat Jorge Martin.

Jorge Martin of Prima Pramac Racing, who currently topped the drivers' standings, followed his compatriot with a time gap of +0.110 seconds.

Meanwhile, Enea Bastianini who defended Ducati Lenovo Team is in third place. He finished ahead of team-mate and defending champion Francesco Bagnaia.

Bastianini came from the accident he suffered to outperform Bagnaia, who this season has high hopes for defending his title.

When the start of the session started, Marquez had shown his dominance on the track. He competed closely with rookie and compatriot Pedro Acosta who strengthened the GAS Red Bull team.
