The Panturas Fulfills Dreams Of Collaborating With Donating Doel Through Justice
JAKARTA - After the 'Lasut Nangkut' which was introduced in early October, The Panturas is back with a new single with the title Jimat. This song is the second release towards the mini album Cropy Tropicalia' which will be coming soon.
If the Sundanese culture was presented in the previous single through lyrics, this time the thread will be even thicker displayed. The Panturas collaborated with Doel Sumbang, the legendary pop musician Sunda.
For Abyan Nabilio alias Acin (vocals, guitar), Rizal Taufik alias Ijal (guitar), Bagus Patria alias Gogon (bass), and Surya Fikri alias Kuya (drums), collaboration with Doel Sumbang is a celebration.
Their first meeting became one of the most interesting processes in writing to recording the 'Jimat', as Doel Sumbang claimed to have heard The Panturas music for a long time.
Ijal also admitted that the figure of Kang Doel was one of the wishlists for a long time, when he formed the contemporary surfing rock group. Therefore, the process of composing songs is not too difficult for The Panturas.

"Doel Contribute is my idol and Kuya. Doel Sumbang's songs are always included in our family playlist when traveling," said Ijal in his statement, Friday, October 25.
"Alhamdulillah, assisted by Abah Iyo from Pure Saturday, finally we were able to collaborate," he continued.
The'smooth' that lasts about 3 minutes 20 seconds, tells the story of advice from people who are older. As in the ancient Sundanese cultural advice which reads: "Direct prayers are an oversight, the prayers of parents become a ubar (mother's prayer is an antidote, your prayer is a medicine)".
Ijal as the lyricist tried to explore further. The lyrics seem like a jampi' and a king that is usually pronounced in the rituals of Sundaneseness, venge, and Sundanese fairy tales. If all the lyrics are translated, then the listener will be presented with a slander.
"Sundanese language that I have heard many times in the past, I put it in the lyrics," said Ijal.
"Through the song 'Jimat', I want to say that in living life we must have a handle," he added.
Meanwhile, The Panturas is loyal to the identity of 'nangorian surf-rock' while introducing the theme of his new musical through a touch of guitar with a daminatila tone ladder, drum dyna pop beats, and various other instruments.
In the recording process, they also invited other collaborator musicians, Andrie at the pencak trumpet, Panji Wisnu on the keyboard and synth, and Rezki Delian (Hockey Hook, El Karma) on bonga.
