The Lexus ES Facelift Document Leaks, The Interior Changes Significantly
JAKARTA - The current generation of Lexus ES was launched globally in 2018, at the same time hinting that this sedan should change models. However, the presence of this update is likely to happen soon.
Launching from Carscoops, Friday, October 25, a document shows the latest version of this model and is likely to be a model in 2026.
This possibility is a facelift from the latest generation of ES. The steps taken by the brand are certainly different from the sedan from Toyota, such as Camry, which has changed generations and was launched some time ago.
In the document, at first glance the Lexus ES did not experience any significant changes. But if viewed in detail, this brand from Japan will present some differences when compared to the previous version.
The changes began with the presence of a pair of redesigned Z front lights, now positioned on top and around the sides, unlike the lower placement in existing models.
Although Lexus' typical spindel grip is still maintained, the pattern in it undergoes several changes and is reportedly borrowing from the RX model style.
The back does not change significantly unless there is a newer lighting. It is still uncertain whether the trim connecting the back lights will develop into a full-width LED strip.

One of Lexus' attentions to the facelift ES is its interior. The most significant update is the much larger infotainment touch screen that dominates the dashboard, which looks nearly identical to the 14-inch screen on the latest NX and RX SUVs.
Thus, reshuffles were also carried out on the central console, including the redesigned climate ventilation function as well as the removal of physical buttons for temperature and multimedia controllers.
Another update is the presence of a new digital instrument cluster taken from his brother, LS or possibly a large-dimensional MPV LM.
This luxury brand will also utilize a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder hybrid powertrain which is also offered to the latest generation of Camry. It is estimated that this will produce a combined power of up to 215 dk. In addition, it is estimated that Lexus will remove the 3.5 liter V6 engine in the current model.
The launch time of the Lexus ES facelift is still a question mark. In addition, the sedan will also be rumored to be present in a pure electric variant (EV) in line with Lexus' strategy in presenting more electrified vehicles globally.
