Hyundai Presents RN24 Concept, From WRC To Electric Racing Tracks
Hyundai has hit again with the presence of high-performance electric vehicles through its latest concept, RN24.
This latest concept continues the success of the previous two concepts of RN22e and N Vision 74. Hyundai claims that RN24 is present as a "run laboratory" that brings high-performance technology to future electric vehicles from division N.

Launching Carscoops, Friday, October 25, RN24 was born from Hyundai's ambition to create the smallest possible vehicle, but still carries the most powerful powertrain. With inspiration from the World Rally Championship (WRC) event, they developed a special chassis for electric cars and integrated the 641 dk powertrain from Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. Despite having a shortened axis distance of up to 340 mm, RN24 still uses the same 84 kWh battery as Ioniq 5 N.
Not only prototypes, the Hyundai RN24 is equipped with various advanced features. The WRC Powertrain Drive Control Logic technology allows drivers to power set, acceleration sensitivity, regenerative brake sensitivity, and power balance through the button at the wheel. In addition, RN24 also has a special mode called 'Rally Mode' which optimizes the torque distribution, inspired by i20 N Rally 1 WRC, as well as a new e-Handbrake for more exciting power-lide maneuvers.

The design of RN24 is no less stealing attention. This vehicle has a roll cage with a striking exoskeleton style and the same rear wing as Hyundai's TCR racing car. Although using various materials to reduce weight, RN24 still weighs about 1,880 kg, or about 350 kg lighter than Ioniq 5 N which is the powertrain base.
"RN24 is proof of Hyundai N's commitment to developing electric motorsport technology by prioritizing driving experience rather than just specification figures," said Deputy President of N Brand Management Group Joon Park.
He also added that if the 'laboratorium is running' it shows the potential that has not been explored from high-performance EVs, and with new technologies in the future, he believes there are still many interesting things to look forward to.
