Solar Radiance And DBest Group Collaboration Inaugurates Rooftop PLTS At Makassar Panakkukang Mall

JAKARTA - PT Masdar Mitra Solar Radiation (MMSR) or Solar Radiance which is one of the subsidiaries of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC - Masdar and PT Mitrabara Adipandana Tbk (MBAP) has again developed their portfolio through the inauguration of the Roof PLTS installed in one of the largest shopping centers in Eastern Indonesia, namely the Panakkukang Mall and as one of the subsidiaries of the D'Best Group.

This inauguration was carried out directly at the Myko Hotel & Convention Center, Makassar on Thursday, October 24, 2024 and was attended by the Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners of MMSR, DBest Group and also the Commercial Manager of PLN UIW North and West Sulawesi.

This event is also one of the most beautiful gifts for Panakkukang Mall on its 22nd birthday with the inauguration, and as one of the largest Malls in Eastern Indonesia, the Panakukkang Mall takes steps to make a real contribution to renewable green energy in Indonesia & in reducing global warming. world.

"Mall Panakkukang will contribute to reducing carbon emissions and become one of the icons driving renewable energy in Makassar," said MMSR Operations Director Hans Kartika Putra.

Currently, the Government continues to encourage massive use of solar energy. The government targets a national energy mix of 19.49 percent by 2024 and is optimistic that it will be able to reach 23 percent by 2025.

The Panakkukang Mall Roof PLTS project, Makassar has been under construction since July 2024 and is planned to operate in mid-November 2024 with a capacity target of 1.24 MWp. During the cooperation period, the Panakkukang Mall Roof PLTS is targeted to produce 1.700 MWh/year which is projected to reduce CO2 emissions by 22.501 metric tons, which is equivalent to planting 577 thousand trees or a car trip of 102 million kilometers.
