Maruarar Targets Groundbreaking Of Three Million House Projects In 100 Working Days
JAKARTA - Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait admitted that he is optimistic that he can carry out the groundbreaking or groundbreaking of the three million house project launched by President Prabowo Subianto in the first 100 days of his work.
The minister, who is familiarly called Ara, admitted that he would speed up the implementation through a periodic review of a number of projects that had been built by the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Housing.
"I will carry out a review of the projects that have been built so far by the Directorate General of Housing. Our target in the first 100 days can be carried out by groundbreaking for housing development for the people," Maruarar said in a written statement, quoted Thursday, October 24.
In addition, to make this happen, he admitted that he would continue to campaign for the spirit of mutual cooperation to build houses for the people in the three million housing program.
One of the priorities is building synergies and cooperation with government ministries/agencies, local governments, the TNI, Polri, BUMN and the private sector.
Ara admitted that this step was taken to meet budget needs, which currently the PKP Ministry's budget ceiling still tends to be very minimal.

"The government's budget to build houses is minimal. We want to encourage the enthusiasm of all parties, both the central government, regional and private sectors to make the three million houses a success," he said.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, October 23, Ara was known to have made a visit to the Attorney General's Office (AGO) to lobby a number of confiscated land assets to later be used to realize the construction of the three million house program.
According to Ara, if later his party has obtained permits for the use and management of a number of these lands, the Ministry of Housing will immediately move quickly to execute the three million house program.
