Realizing The Target Of Three Million Houses, Ministry Of ATR Aims For The Utilization Of Ex-Government Assets
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto's administration has officially served. It is known, he has a construction program of three million houses per year.
To support this, the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) is targeting government assets that are no longer used.
Secretary General of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Suyus Widayana, said that his party plans to take advantage of government assets that are neither used nor confiscated for housing development programs.
"Yes, all government assets that are idle, maybe later we will use them for the construction of houses. However, in urban areas it is more likely to build higher ones, apartments," said Suyus when met at the Mandarin Orental Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday, October 24.
Suyus explained that his party was still discussing and registering areas that could build housing. He said that his party is currently investigating the spatial planning of the land.
"We are currently evaluating all of them, we have initial coordination with the Housing Task Force regarding 1 million houses in urban areas. We are currently investigating all spatial planning, in which areas housing can be built," he said.

Then, his party will also check the status of the land. If the land belongs to the state, said Suyus, development can be carried out immediately.
"Later, we will check the status of the land, if it is land that is owned by the country, we can carry out immediate development, yes," he concluded.
