Mathew Baker Finally Breaks Egg, Donates Indonesia U-17 Victory Goal Over Kuwait
JAKARTA - Mathew Baker became a key player in the U-17 Indonesian national team victory in the inaugural match of Group G of the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification.
Indonesia U-17 won 1-0 over Kuwait U-17 at the Abdullah Al Khalifa Stadium on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, night WIB.
The live goal was created thanks to Zahaby Gholy's corner from the right which was then headed by Mathew Baker.
The goal occurred in the eighth minute and then lasted until disbanded. After the match, Baker said he was happy to score the first goal for the U-17 Indonesian national team.

"This is my first goal for Indonesia. I am very happy. Hopefully this will be the first of many of the next goals," said Mathew Baker after the match.
According to the Australian-born player, goals and the U-17 Indonesia victory were created due to good preparation.
Nova Arianto's team has indeed undergone training camps in Spain and Qatar.
With intensive preparation, Indonesia U-17 appeared confident against Kuwait, which is the host.
"The match against Kuwait is difficult, especially since it was the first match. However, we worked hard and in the end we were able to get the results we expected," said Baker.
After winning in the inaugural match, the U-17 Indonesian national team is now in second place in the Group G standings of the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification.
The Garuda Muda squad is behind Australia U-17 who won 19-0 over the North U-17 Mariana Islands in the inaugural match.
