Ridwan Kamil visits Kebayoran Lama, looking for a market that can be upgraded to middle-class housing

JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor of Jakarta number 01, Ridwan Kamil, today resumed his blusukan to look for markets that could be transformed and upgraded into comfortable housing for the middle class. Today, the man who is familiarly called Kang Emil blusukan to Kebayoran Lama Market, South Jakarta.

According to Emil, basically Jakarta is a trading city. Where, he said, every trade center must exist.

"However, they feel that their generation can no longer have a dream to live in the middle of Jakarta anymore. Well, we can find a solution, one of which is that our market upgrades so that it is neater, traditional markets still exist, only on it are built housing for young and middle class children," said Ridwan Kamil at Kebayoran Lama Market, South Jakarta, Thursday, October 24.

Ridwan Kamil said housing on the market land would be the flagship Paslon program number 01. Along with the housing program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto.

"Well, that's a program that of course we can encourage to become a flagship program. Moreover, Pak Prabowo has a housing program for one million houses in the middle of the city. I think it's very much in line," said the former Governor of West Java.

Kang Emil, who arrived by riding a typical Jakarta vehicle, Bajaj, also listened to the aspirations and complaints of traders who needed solutions. Among them, waste management in the middle of the market, to the promotion of lost merchandise to online traders.

"So we will combine it later, because after all our economy is the Pancasila economy. So we expand the upper one, we raise the lower one, both of them make progress. I will definitely encourage all the good for the residents to make it happen," said Emil.

"It remains only possible to change the name or budget. But what the residents need is definitely needed. Because the goal of the leader is the same, wants the people to be happy, wants the people to be prosperous," he concluded.
