Support Supriyani During The Trial At The Andoolo District Court, A Teacher From PGRI Spreads Posters 'Stop Criminalizing Teachers'
KENDARI - Thousands of teachers who are members of the Teachers Association of the Republic of Indonesia or PGRI are crowding the District Court (PN) Andoolo, South Konawe Regency (Konsel), to provide support to honorary teachers of SDN 4 Baito Supriyani in undergoing his inaugural trial.
According to ANTARA's observation at the Andoolo District Court, thousands of demonstrators began visiting the Andoolo District Court at 09.00 WITA. They gradually came around the court office wearing PGRI uniform clothes by shouting the word " Teacher's life".
This support was given to Supriyani to undergo the trial of the case that happened to her related to allegations of mistreatment of one of her students at SDN 4 Baito. Not only that, a number of teachers also unfurled posters with the words 'Stop Teacher Criminalization.'
One of the teachers at SDN 2 Andoolo Darma when met said that the action was a form of solidarity among teachers, especially when there were teachers who were oppressed.
"As a teacher, you must continue to oversee this case. I am willing to not come to teach to defend my brother (Supriyani)," said Darma.
As long as he becomes a teacher within 22 years, no teacher will have the heart to hurt his students like that, especially the students who were victims of the Supriyani case who were still in grade 1 elementary school.
"No matter how cruel the teacher is, I will never have the heart. I often nag at school, but never hit people's children," he said.
Darma revealed that their reason for going to PN Andoolo was only to sue law enforcement officers to release Supriyani. Meanwhile, PGRI Chairman of Palangga Selatan District Abdurrahim said that the action was a form of support from fellow teacher professions to provide support to Supriyani who was hit by a disaster.
"Not only that, we hope that from this case there will be no other Supriyani-Supriyani. We also hope that the parties, as alleged by Rp50 million, can really be traced," said Abdurrahim.
He hopes that in the future these cases that criminalize teachers in Indonesia will not happen again.
