Electability Starts Overtaking RK-Suswono, Rano Karno Targets Indeed One Round In The Jakarta Pilkada

JAKARTA - The electability of the candidate pair for Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta Pramono Anung-Rano Karno finally overtook Ridwan Kamil-Suswono in the survey results of the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI).

In the LSI survey, Pramono-Rano's electability was recorded at 41.6 percent, then Ridwan Kamil-Suswono 37.4 percent, and Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana 6.6 percent.

Seeing this condition, Rano said he was optimistic that his electability would continue to increase until the voting day on 27 November.

"This is our motivation. Now we have 41 (percent) which means we still have a month. A month, you can't think it's above 50 percent, right? The requirements are 50 (percent) plus 1. Well, that's all, it's just a matter of hard work. us here, lah," Rano told reporters, Thursday, October 24.

According to Rano, the Jakarta Pilkada which only runs one round with the results of one candidate winning the 50 percent + 1 election is better. This is because this will accelerate the inauguration of the Governors and Deputy Governors, so that they can immediately work.

"Jakarta does not have to lose its government for long, so that it can collaborate with the central government. (Inauguration) the president, minister, already. It remains only for the governor to work. That means he must immediately serve the community," explained Rano.

For information, this latest survey was conducted on October 10-17, 2024. The survey was conducted on 1,200 Jakarta respondents with face-to-face interviews. The sample was taken using the multistage random sampling method with a margin of error of 2.9 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.

When comparing several previous surveys, Pramono-Rano's electability trend tends to rise, while RK-Suswono continues to decline. In fact, now there is a change in the candidate pair's electability sequence when compared to the previous survey.
