The rocket was directed to the Krayot area near Haifa, in northern Israel, where the siren sounded.
Minutes later, about 10 projectile launches across Israel's border area in Kiryat Shmona, hit the northern city.
The 'falling projectiles have been identified,' the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said.
The attack on Kiryat Shmona sparked a fire in a garage that was being extinguished by eight firefighters, according to Yair Eliyakim, head of the fire brigade in northern Israel.
