Erick Warns About Distribution, Boss Pupuk: We Fix It Using Digitalization

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir warned about the distribution of fertilizers.

He ensured that he would eradicate the individuals who had been hampering the country's program.

Responding to this, the President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Rahmad Pribadi, said that his party responded to the message by improving the distribution of fertilizers through the digital platform owned by Pupuk Indonesia.

"We have responded with improvements using digitalization," said Rahmad when met at the Ministry of SOEs Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 23.

Rahmad also said that SOE Minister Erick Thohir and Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman agreed to open up opportunities for regulatory improvement to achieve Indonesia's target of self-sufficiency in food.

"But yesterday, opportunities were opened and were encouraged by the Minister of SOEs and the Minister of Agriculture, if necessary, there will be improvements to the improved regulations, which are important for Indonesia to self-sufficiency in food," he explained.

Therefore, continued Rahmad, his party is mapping conditions in the field related to the fertilizer industry.

"So now we are trying to map all the situation into what it is like," he said.

In addition, Rahmad also emphasized that he would support government programs. Starting from the availability of pukuk, distribution to digitalization. He said Pupuk Indonesia was coordinating this with the relevant ministries.

"Then there will also be expansion programs, we will also support them. We are ready in terms of production, the distribution side is ready, digitalization is ready. This is currently coordinating between many Ministries," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir confirmed that he would eradicate people who had been hampering state programs, one of which was related to the distribution of fertilizers.

This step is in line with President Prabowo Subianto's target to achieve food self-sufficiency within four years.

"We also make sure that there is no more playing around in fertilizers. We will eradicate those who have been hindering them," he said at a press conference at the Ministry of Agriculture building, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 22.

For your information, Erick was present at the Ministry of Agriculture to meet with the Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman to discuss collaboration between the Ministry of SOEs and the Ministry of Agriculture.
