KAI President Director Calls BNI Dukuh Atas Station A Symbol Of Transportation Innovation And Connectivity

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), Didiek Hartantyo said that after one year of operation, the Jabodebek LRT continues to show progress in presenting modern, innovative, and integrated mass transportation.

Didiek said that BNI Dukuh Atas Station is a real example of integration between modes of transportation. Users can easily move between modes of transportation such as Commuter Line, Airport Train, Transjakarta, and MRT Jakarta.

"This integration not only increases comfort, but also plays an important role in reducing congestion in the capital city and facilitating community mobility," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, October 23.

To ensure the sustainability of this progress, Didiek reviewed the Dukuh Atas BNI LRT Station to monitor the various superior facilities available. These facilities are designed to support the convenience of all users, including breastfeeding mothers, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

During the visit, Didiek Hartantyo emphasized the importance of innovation presented by KAI in every aspect of transportation services. He said the BNI Dukuh Atas Station was equipped with cutting-edge technology such as a crowd detection system, an innovative system that monitors passenger density and movement in real-time to maintain the smooth flow of passengers and improve security.

"This system allows station managers to immediately respond to situations if there is excessive density, so that users' comfort is maintained," he said.

Since starting operating until October 2024, the Jabodebek LRT has served 20,789,279 users. With the average number of users on weekdays in October 81,932 and the average user on weekends reaching 43,644, the Jabodebek LRT continues to develop into a mass transportation solution that is increasingly in demand by the public.

The average user who taps in and taps out at BNI Dukuh Atas Station on weekdays in October reaches 22,735 users per day, while on weekends it reaches 18,863 users per day.

"The BNI Dukuh Atas Station is one of the symbols of KAI's commitment to providing integrated public transportation and not only user-friendly, but also equipped with technological facilities and innovations to ensure a more comfortable and secure experience," said Didiek.

In addition, other facilities such as breastfeeding mothers' rooms, water stations, and facilities that are friendly to users with special needs, are examples of KAI's commitment to continue to innovate in meeting the needs of all segments of society.

"The Jabodebek LRT not only offers fast and efficient transportation, but also reflects KAI's efforts to continue to innovate in creating environmentally friendly transportation solutions. We will continue to maintain this commitment so that we can serve the community better," added Didiek.

By operating automatically without a driver using the CBTC Grade of Automation level 3, the Jabodebek LRT system is expected to continue to make a significant contribution to the advancement of innovative and integrated mass transportation in the Jabodebek area.
