Prabowo Talks About The Largeness Of The Cabinet: The Important Thing Is Efficient Work, Not As Good As Possible

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto spoke about the large number of members in the Red and White Cabinet he currently leads, through his introduction to the inaugural Plenary Cabinet Trial.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the number of our cabinet members is 48 ministers, there are also very strategic agencies, this is indeed more than the previous governments," Prabowo said at the Presidential office, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 23.

The President realizes that the number of cabinet members can be considered relatively large. Nevertheless, Prabowo said, the Indonesian nation is indeed a large nation, and is the fourth largest country in the world out of the population.

From our area, the area is the same as Western Europe, where Europe consists of 27 countries. We are one country. Managing Europe requires 27 Ministers of Finance, 27 Ministers of Defense, 27 Ministers of Home Affairs. Brothers and sisters, we are as wide as Europe," he said.

He further conveyed that Indonesia also chose a democratic political system. If Indonesia is an authoritarian country, he said, maybe Indonesia should just carry out everything with a small population.

"So these brothers and sisters don't have a problem, the important thing is that we work efficiently, the important thing is that we don't work arbitrarily. I ask the Minister of Finance, I ask all the Coordinating Ministers, I ask all ministers, to trace the allocation of the State Budget. Study again DIPA, study again," he said.

He asked the ranks to reduce too ceremonial activities, too many seminars, too many sarasehan, too many conferences, including overseas travel.

"We have to set an example, our focus is on building the people's welfare economy inward. Don't make it up, study appeals, learn Scouts to other countries. I ask for it to be efficient," Prabowo said.
