3 Judge Of Ronald Tannur's Case Arrested By The AGO For Bribery Of Free Sentences

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has arrested three judges at the East Java District Court. The arrest was related to the alleged bribery of Ronald Tannur's acquittal in the murder case of Dini Sera Afriyanti.

"Yes (the arrest of three judges related to the bribery sentence of Ronald Tannur)," said Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the AGO, Febrie Ardiansyah to VOI, Wednesday, October 23.

The three judges were Erintuah Damanik, Mangapul, and Heru Hanindyo. They are the panel of judges who sentenced Ronald Tannur to acquittal.

In addition, Febrie also said that not only three judges were arrested. However, there is one lawyer.

However, the lawyer's identity was not further explained. Allegedly, the lawyer was the bribe giver.

"That's right (one lawyer was also arrested)," said Febrie.

In the trial of the alleged murder of Dini Sera Afriyanti, the panel of judges chaired by Erintuah Damanik stated that Ronald Tannur was not legally and convincingly proven to have committed murder or persecution that resulted in the death toll.

The judge also considered that the defendant was still trying to help the victim at a critical time as evidenced by the defendant's efforts to take the victim to the hospital for help.

"Freeing the defendant from all charges by the public prosecutor above," said Judge Damanik
