Involved In Online Gambling And Fraud, 69 Indonesian Citizens Deported From The Philippines
TANGERANG - A total of 69 Indonesian citizens (WNI) in the Philippines were deported for involvement in online gambling (judol) and fraud committed online or cyber scamming.
The return of dozens of Indonesian citizens was carried out in stages through Tangerang Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta), Kualanamu Airport (Medan) and Sam Ratulangi Airport (Manado).
35 Indonesian citizens have been sent home, while 32 other Indonesian citizens are still waiting for the repatriation schedule.
"Today 35 of the total 69 are in process," said Head of the International Relations Division (Hubinter) Inspector General of Police Krishna Murti to reporters at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang City, Wednesday, October 23.
He said that there were two Indonesian citizens involved in legal cases. So they still have to undergo a court process in the Philippines.

All Indonesian citizens who are deported from the Philippines will undergo further examination by the Police.
"What must be found out with this repatriation process is who organizes it, what is the mode? Later Bareskrim, Polda Metro Jaya will investigate it," explained Krishna Murti.
