PDIP Regarding Puan-Anies Gathering: Make This Republic Comfortable

JAKARTA - PDIP DPP chairman Said Abdullah responded casually to the follow-up discourse between PDIP DPP chairman and DPR Speaker Puan Maharani and former presidential candidate number 01 in the 2024 presidential election, Anies Baswedan.

Not wanting to make a fuss, Said assessed that the journey and political dynamics in this country must be made comfortable. Moreover, according to him, the relationship between PDIP and President Prabowo Subianto went well as well as Anies Baswedan who lost the last presidential election.

"PDIP is okay with Mr. Anies, there is nothing wrong with Mr. Prabowo. If PDIP is in favor of Mr. Prabowo, it will be conveyed by Mrs. Puan Maharani," said Said, Tuesday, October 22.

"If with Pak Anies as a friend, communication continues to be built, so the journey of this republic is comfortable," he continued.

Previously, the chairman of the DPP PDIPPuan Maharani revealed the contents of his conversation with former Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan when he met at the inauguration ceremony of Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka as President and Vice President.

Puan revealed that she talked about the relationship between PDIP and Anies.

"That friendship must continue," said Puan.

The chairman of the DPR also gave a signal that there would be another meeting between Anies and PDIP. However, Puan did not specify when and where the planned meeting would be held.

"God willing, there will be other meetings," he said.

It is known that Anies visited the Jakarta PDIP DPD office and the PDIP DPP office some time ago. The visit was related to the PDIP discourse to carry Anies in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.

However, this discourse did not materialize. PDIP prefers to carry Pramono Anung-Rano Karno to fight for the Jakarta 1 seat.
