Armed With 40 Years Of Music, Yovie Widianto Wants To Accelerate Creative Economy Empowerment
JAKARTA - Musician Yovie Widianto was officially appointed as the Presidential Special Staff (Stafsus) for Creative Economy at the State Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 22.
In the first press statement after being inaugurated, the Kahitna frontman hopes that the four decades of experience in the music industry can be a good provision to provide input to President Prabowo Subianto in accelerating the empowerment of the creative economy in Indonesia.
"Of course this is not too far from the field I've been in for 40 years. And this is a mandated task, thank God, of course it's tough too," said Yovie.
"But I realize that being the Presidential Special Staff for the fields that I have been involved in, hopefully I can also help accelerate the empowerment of the creative economy," he continued.
Yovie said his long experience in the music industry was full of twists and turns, not only success, but also various failures. All of this is believed to be a provision for carrying out this task.

Talking about his duties as Presidential Staff, Yovie said that he and his team would provide input regarding the future creative economy strategy.
"If the Special Staff is more towards the President to provide input on how the creative economy development strategies themselves, which have many sub-sectors," said Yovie.
