Foreign Tourists To Indonesia Decreased 30.42 Percent In February 2020 Compared To January

JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the number of visits by foreign tourists or foreign tourists to Indonesia as of February 2020 had decreased by 28.85 percent compared to the number of visits in February 2019.

In addition, when compared to January 2020, the number of foreign tourist visits in February 2020 also decreased by 30.42 percent.

"Cumulatively (January-February 2020), the number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia reached 2.16 million visits or decreased 11.80 percent compared to the number of foreign tourist visits in the same period in 2019 which totaled 2.45 million visits," said the Head of BPS. , Suhariyanto in his presentation via video conference, in Jakarta, Wednesday 1 April.

He said, the Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star-classified hotels in Indonesia in February 2020 reached an average of 49.22 percent or decreased by 3.22 points compared to the TPK in February 2019 which was recorded at 52.44 percent.

Meanwhile, when compared to the ROR for January 2020, the ROR for star-classified hotels in February 2020 increased by 0.05 points.

Meanwhile, the average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests in star-classified hotels during February 2020 was recorded at 1.74 days, a decrease of 0.19 points when compared to February 2019.
