KAI Records 1.56 Million Passengers Using Jabodebek KRL-LRT Enjoying Rp1 Tariff

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) noted that 1,565,528 Commuter Line and Jabodebek LRT users had used a special tariff service facility of IDR 1 during the inauguration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"KAI noted that the enthusiasm of the public for using the opportunity for cheap tariffs is quite high, as many as 1,565,528 Commuter Line and Jabodebek LRT users have used these service facilities," said KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba in a statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, October 22.

Anne detailed 1,565,528 users, namely 1,504,362 Commuter Line service users and 61,166 Jabodebek LRT service users.

He said that KAI was committed to the success of the inauguration of the President of the Republic of Indonesia which was held on Sunday, (20/10).

One form of support is by applying a special tariff of IDR 1 on all trips across Jabodetabek for Commuter Line and Jabodebek LRT services.

"KAI through KAI Commuter and the Jabodebek LRT have implemented a special tariff of IDR 1 for all trips across Jabodetabek on October 20, 2024 yesterday," he said.

In addition to imposing special tariffs, during the inauguration of the President and Vice President, KAI also engineered JJ's train operating pattern.

In addition, through KAI Commuter also operates a Commuter Line travel pattern service with a total of 1,048 trips.

"In addition to increasing the number of trips on Commuter Line services, KAI has also increased the number of Jabodebek LRT trips from 260 to 364 trips to ensure the comfort and smooth running of community mobility," explained Anne.

Anne added that in addition to increasing the number of trips, KAI also added rooms and health care facilities at various stations equipped with extra ambulances for emergency conditions.

In terms of security, KAI is working with Polda Metro to secure stations in the Jakarta area. In total there are 152 security personnel for long-distance train stations and 325 personnel for Commuter Line Stations.

He appreciated the users of the Jabodebek Commuter Line and LRT services who were monitored for discipline and order when attending the People's Party for the Inauguration of the President and Vice President.

"KAI also congratulated the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia 2024-2029 Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka," said Anne.

KAI also thanks President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin for the dedication and support that has been given during the 2019-2024 period.

According to Anne, under the leadership of Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin, the Indonesian railway world has made a lot of significant progress.

In addition, massive infrastructure development initiatives, the development of new railway lines, modernization of services, and technological innovation in the railway sector have improved the quality of transportation in Indonesia as a whole.

"KAI's support during the presidential inauguration procession is a tangible manifestation of its contribution in supporting national development," said Anne.
