It is noted that Yovie once founded a music group Kahitna. In the group, Yovie is positioned as a pianist or keyboardist. Kahitna itself was formed on June 24, 1986.
This group always carries romance-themed songs in the lyrics. In addition, Kahitna is also considered one of the bands that has succeeded in combining various musical genres ranging from pop, jazz, fusion, even ethnicity.

Yovie Widianto is known to have been inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto to become the President's Staff for Creative Economy at the State Palace. The inauguration took place on Tuesday, October 22 at the State Palace.
