Students And Students In Pekanbaru Arrested During Drug Party

PEKANBARU - Sub-Directorate I of the Directorate of Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) of the Riau Police arrested 21 people who were having a drug party at a hotel on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Pekanbaru City, Sunday, October 20. All the perpetrators who were arrested consisted of students, students, and honorary. They held a party at the Ratu Mayang Garden Hotel in 211 and 240 rooms.

Director of the Riau Police Narcotics Investigation, Kombes Manang Soebeti, said that in room 211, the police found three ecstasy pills and 12 suspected perpetrators, consisting of seven men and five women.

Meanwhile, 240 rooms were found in one pack of marijuana and nine others, consisting of six men and three women.

"We have secured evidence in the form of three ecstasy pills and one pack of marijuana. In addition, we immediately took 21 people in the two rooms to the Riau Police Headquarters for further investigation," said Manang.

After a urine test was carried out on 21 people who were arrested, 11 people from room 211 tested positive for amphetamine (excitation pills). Then, three people from room 240 tested positive for marijuana and the rest tested negative.

"The urine test shows that 11 people in room 211 are positive for amphetamine, while three people in room 240 are positive for THC from marijuana. This is our basis for carrying out further investigation," explained Kombes Manang.

The police will continue their investigation to uncover the network and origin of the drugs. All positive perpetrators are planned to be rehabilitated at the designated rehabilitation center.
