Addie MS Has Regrets For 10 Years Jokowi's Leadership, Hopes For Prabowo's Realization

JAKARTA - Music conductor and composer, Addie MS through his personal Instagram account conveyed his memories during the 10 years of the Joko Widodo administration.

Kevin Aprilio and Tristan Juliano's father is known to be close to Jokowi. He also uploaded several photos of himself with the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia.

The first slide was the most unforgettable moment from many other meetings with Pak Jokowi. "Almost 2 hours the two of us talked about a lot on July 5, 2021 at the Merdeka Palace," wrote Addie MS, citing a statement on the upload, Monday, October 21.

"What impressed me so much was that he asked me more questions, even though I wanted to ask and learn a lot from him. Really a very humble person, even though his position and knowledge were high. He didn't say anything, but spread work," he continued.

The 65-year-old orchestral leader also expressed his regret. Despite meeting Jokowi several times, he forgot to ask the government to build a good concert hall for classic music performances.

"To be honest, there are regrets in my heart. Repeatedly having the opportunity to meet him, I actually forgot to voice my interests as an orchestral musician who wanted a concert hall in the city center, like in other countries," he said.

Addie hopes that the new government led by Prabowo Subianto will be able to realize his wishes.

"But finally I understand because there are still many more important and urgent national problems, which are his priorities," said Addie MS.

"Hopefully in the era of President Prabowo, the government will finally build a concert hall," he said.
